What Our Customers Think
Why We Love Commack, NY
About Commack
Commack, New York, is a hamlet in Suffolk County, United States, located on Long Island. The name Commack comes from the Secatogue Native Americans who lived on the south shore of Long Island between Copiague and Bayport. The name was originally spelled as ‘Comac’ in the 17th century. The area was used for farming, grazing, and wood cutting before it was developed into a town in the 18th and 19th centuries. Commack was known for its fertile soil, abundant game, and wood. The first church was organized in 1747 and the post office was established in 1854.
